Cannabis-infused banana bread method 1

This is a hearty, old-fashioned banana bread recipe that’ll transport you back to your childhood. As always, make sure to use overripe fruit for a rich banana flavor. Also, don’t leave out the orange zest and cinnamon, as both add a nice touch to the earthy flavor of the cannabutter.

N.B. The following recipe is with an estimated amount of marijuana. Remember that edibles can hit harder then you expect, so feel free to judge the amount according to your own experience. It is strongly advised to first learn how to calculate the strength of edibles.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 ¼ cups (250g) sugar
  • ½ cup (113g) cannabutter, melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 medium-sized overripe bananas, mashed
  • ½ cup (120g) buttermilk
  • 1 tspn. vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp. orange zest
  • 2 ½ cups (320g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tspn. baking soda
  • 1 tspn. salt
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup (125g) chopped nuts

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (roughly 175°C). While preheating, butter the bottom of a large, loaf-shaped baking dish.
  2. Combine your melted cannabutter and sugar in a mixing bowl and mix until well-combined.
  3. Keep mixing gently and add in one egg at time until everything is well-combined.
  4. Add the mashed bananas, buttermilk, vanilla extract, and orange zest. Continue mixing until the mixture is well-blended and smooth.
  5. Sift all your dry ingredients into a clean bowl, then add the sifted ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Continue mixing until the dry ingredients have combined with the wet mixture.
  7. Fold in the chopped nuts, then pour the entire mixture into the large loaf pan.
  8. Bake loaf for 70-75 minutes. To test if it’s ready, stick a skewer into the center of the loaf. The skewer should come out clean.

EXTRA TIPS FOR PERFECT CANNABIS-INFUSED BANANA BREAD

Extra tips for perfect cannabis-infused banana bread

So, there you have two super simple recipes to make cannabis-infused banana bread at home. For an extra delicious loaf, remember to follow these tips:

  • Add some flour to your buttered loaf pan. This makes it easier to remove the bread when done.
  • Always cook your bread in the middle of the oven to avoid over-browning the top or bottom.
  • Try buttering your pan with cannabutter for an extra-rich THC kick.
  • Looking for ways to spice up your bread? Try adding some nutmeg or cloves to these recipes for a bit of extra oomph.
  • Toast your nuts for a richer, crunchier banana bread experience.
  • Use lightly toasted sugar to add a sweeter, caramel-like flavor to your bread. To toast your sugar, simply throw it in a pan in a low-temp oven for 1 hour.
  • Use cannabis-infused coconut oil for a healthier, lighter alternative to butter.
  • Swap buttermilk for natural Greek yoghurt for a nice, domed loaf with an acidic kick.
  • Use real vanilla. Let's face it, vanilla extract will never, ever come close to the taste of fresh vanilla bean.
  • Store your banana bread in a sealed container in the fridge. Refrigerated loaves will keep for roughly 10 days.
