More and more countries, as wel as states in the US are slowly legalizing medical marijuana. The discovery of CBD (cannabidiol) has changed a lot in the debate around using marijuana as medicine, as CBD is a non-psychoactive compound found in the plant and doesn’t get you high. It does however interact with our body’s endocannabinoid system and has many potential medicinal benefits.
CBD is currently legal in many states in the US and is helping many people in the battle against cancer and epilepsy. Adults can of course decide for themselves what medicine they would like to use, but what about children?
National Geographic made a documentary in which they follow the difficult and sometimes heartbreaking story of Millie, Sophie and Lily, three American kids, who have to fight hard to be able to get access to CBD oil and battle their diseases.
